Who can apply for business cards?

Even if you haven't officially incorporated your business, as long as you're trying to earn a profit in some legitimate way, you can apply for a small business credit card. The application gives you the option to enter your Social Security number instead of an EIN (Employer Identification Number), if you don't have one yet.

I didn't write that.

It was copy and pasted from a popular credit card issuer's website!

In other words, you DON'T have to be a big corporation with hundreds of employees or making millions of dollars to be eligible for a business card.

The same website also states that any work that produces legitimate income can be considered for a business card.

Here are a few examples of work that is eligible for business cards:

  • Freelance writer
  • Ridesharing service
  • Tutoring
  • Independent consultant
  • Entertainer
  • Handyworker
  • Freelance social media manager
  • Dog walker or pet sitting
  • and more!

You may be eligible for business cards even if you previously thought you were not qualified.

There are two business card offers that are ending 1/18/2024 at 9:00 AM ET (if not sooner). Both cards are linked below, and both are no annual fee cards that have an all-time high offer of 90,000 points after $6,000 spend in 3 months.

In order to transfer the points out to airline or hotel programs you do need this card or this card or even this card. So keep that in mind. Let me know if you have any questions!

Using the links provided helps support my work because I earn a commission if you are approved. Thank you in advance!

Hyatt Explorist / Globalist Corporate Challenge

If you have a corporate email you can see if you're targeted for a Hyatt status challenge!

What ever status you earn during the challenge you'll get to keep that status through February 2026.

  1. You need to register
  2. You'll get Explorist status for 90 days
  3. To extend your status through February 2026 you'll need to meet the requirements below:

Extend Explorist Status

Stay ten qualifying nights within 90 days to keep Explorist status through February 2026

Extend Globalist Status

Stay a total of 20 qualifying nights within 90 days to earn Globalist status through February 2026

My Thoughts

It might be time for a mattress run! This is an incredible opportunity to fast-track your way to Hyatt Globalist status. Normally, it requires 60 nights to achieve Globalist status, but this challenge can help you get there faster. I don't think it's worth chasing Explorist status through this challenge because the benefits aren't that great. The real value is achieving Globalist status.
